Have you thought about what you want to be doing this time next year? It's so easy to feel like the summer passes you by without getting to do some of the things that were on your list, but rather than lamenting that it's already July, have you considered dreaming big about what you want to be doing this time next year and working towards that goal for the next 12 months? I call it a time capsule goal because it's the antithesis of instant gratification. You plot and save and work, but you delay the reward for a year. The upside? Things that can seem really big and overwhelming can be totally achievable when you give yourself the time and plan them in advance. If you can find a way to stock away $14 a day, then a year from now you will have over $5000 to travel abroad, go in on a boat with friends, sign up for extension classes at your local University, or build a new patio for your backyard. What would you do?
Next summer will be the last summer before Parker starts Kindergarten and I would love to take advantage of Aaron's schedule (he has summers totally off!) and spend the entire month of July abroad somewhere. It sounds really dreamy to rent a house and travel to new places on the weekends and to spend the next 12 months studying a new language in preparation. Aaron thinks it sounds outlandish, but I think it's totally doable! What say you? What do you want to be doing this time next year?

What a brilliant idea. I either want a lake house this time next year, or be pregnant again, lol.

Your daughter looks like a little woman. She's growing up so fast and these pix of her are precious. You can totally live abroad next summer for a month.
I would choose travel every single time. I will start putting money away regularly to make sure my Australia trip happens next September.

What an exciting idea. If you have the flexibility, do it!

I love these pictures of Parker!! I'd love to be abroad next summer! I love to travel. It is hard with me having a cat and dog. My dog likes to go everywhere with me. But I'd make it work!
