Valentine's Day always seems to always be met with such mixed responses, doesn't it? Personally, I love it. I love the homemade cards, baked goods, fresh flowers, and little happy reminders that there really are people out there who care about us. It's such a sweet excuse to celebrate the people that are fixtures of your daily life, so why not jump on the band wagon? You could make some sweet treats for your co-workers, craft something special for that roommate of yours or treat your valentine to a special dinner in-- no reservations required!
The sentiment "With All My Heart" perfectly sums up how I feel about the man taking these photos. I have never loved him more than I do now. Perhaps it's all of the pregnancy hormones, but I doubt it. He has always been so supportive, but even more so now through these last 8 months that I have been carrying this little baby girl around with me. Sometimes it feels like my heart will just explode with love for these two!
February tends to be a really busy work month for Aaron. Since he's traveling all week, we spent Saturday celebrating with a casual day date which meant sleeping in late, enjoying omelettes at home, and then heading out for the day to some of our favorite shops. For my casual day date look, I headed to Old Navy. There's one super close to our place and I've become a pro at picking out pieces I can wear now while (very) pregnant and later this spring after baby girl's arrival. A denim jacket is just about the most versatile piece you can have in your spring wardrobe. It's a great layer that keeps things casual, unlike it's blazer or leather jacket counterparts. For a day of adventuring, these simple canvas sneakers were the obvious choice. My last pair of Old Navy sneakers went from beach days in Malibu last May to hiking The Great Wall of China in July. I have a feeling these little guys will get just as much mileage. I had an armful of clothes as I headed towards the dressing rooms, but I knew when I saw this shirt that it was going to be the day date winner.
Whether your celebrating your co-workers, best gals, roommates, boyfriend, or hubby, hop on over to Old Navy for a little Valentine's Day shopping. For some very sweet treat recipes, homemade gift ideas, dinners that are perfect for date night in, and more shots from today's post, hop on over to this Pinterest board. Happy Valentine's Day friends!

Hey! We are hoping to get pregnant soon and a phrase that my husband's parents say to all of the grandkids is, I love you with all my heart. I am hoping to find that shirt but didn't see it on Old Navy's site. Did you recently buy it?
Happy Valentine's Day!

Yes! I noticed it wasn't online as well but I did just recently purchase it at the Burbank store. It was merchandised right next to the fitting rooms!

I love your curls! I'm sporting a new short bob (in fact I showed my hairdresser your picture as inspiration) and have failed miserably when trying to add some curls. Did you use a curling iron or straightener for your fab look? Any tips would be much appreciated 🙂
Happy Heart Day!

Hi Annie! That's so flattering! I hope you're loving your new bob 🙂 I curled it with a curling iron (1.5", I think), but it's a little longer now than it usually is. When it's shorter I have used steam rollers in the past to give it some wave. They can be a little more time consuming, but I love them and it's almost impossible to burn yourself with them-- a hazard of short hair curling! One thing I would suggest is starting the root when you curl with a curling iron and slowly releasing the clamp and working your way down to the ends. I will even leave some of the ends a little straight if I want them to stick out a bit and look a little messier. When you start at the bottom and curl up, all of the body in the hair tends to just sit down at the ends. I hope this helps!
