In a city full of so many great eats, how's a girl supposed to choose where to have her next meal? New restaurants pop up every week coupled with the fact that we are almost always craving our tried and true neighborhood favorites. So, friends, we're doing the leg work for you and trying some new-ish spots that have been conjuring up quite the buzz. Our first stop in our new series is Birch. In an unassuming spot on Cahuenga in the heart of Hollywood, Chef Collins (the chef de cuisine from Melisse ) is cooking up rich, delicious fare with his own unique twist. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! (PS. We will be sharing the recipe for the grilled corn with marscapone, butter and truffles next week, so stay tuned!)
pictured above: the peach and burrata salad, shrimp toast, and grilled corn with marscapone, butter, and shaved black truffles. (The corn is not on the menu, but is a secret favorite of frequent diners.)
