What To Listen To Now // Christmas Playlist

That's right, friends!  You read the title correctly.  It's our first ever TEC Christmas playlist put together by the one and only Matt Mugford.  Only he could create a Christmas playlist that you can actually listen to on repeat without totally annoying all of your nearest and dearest.  (It only took a little coaxing, begging, and pleading to get him to oblige!)  Whether you're decking your halls this weekend or hosting a little party, this playlist has you covered!  Happy weekend, friends!

Vince Guaraldi Trio - Christmas Time Is Here

This is my all time favorite Christmas song! I just love it so much. As this playlist will reveal, I like my Christmas music sad and nostalgic. Just imagine sitting by a fire while drinking some cocoa when you listen and it will help you get through it.

Sleeping At Last - Snow

Got a chance to see them perform this at the Hotel Cafe this week, and it reminded me of what a great songwriter Ryan O'Neal is. A classic original Christmas song from him.

Stevie Wonder - What Christmas Means To Me

A bonafide classic from one of the legends.

It's a proven fact that you cannot have a Christmas playlist without Mariah Carey. Every time I hear O Holy Night it's just all about the build up to... "The Note", and no one can compare to this one. It's the ultimate O Holy Night "Note" ever recorded in history.

Kris Orlowski & Hollis Wear - Is This Christmas

Kris has become a pal of mine over the past year, and if you aren't familiar with his stuff you should definitely check it out. He's a great singer/songwriter and a good dude with and amazing moustache! What more could you ask for?

Johnnyswim - I'll Be Home For Christmas

This husband/wife duo is so talented it kind of makes me sick. They are almost too good.

Mary J. Blige - This Christmas

If you only knew how much I love MJB. I've been dangerously close to including her in my all time favs section on several playlists, but never had the courage to do it. So I'm pretty pumped about this one. Also, this song is by far the funkiest/grooviest Christmas song out there.

Coldplay - Christmas Lights

I really wanted to have Chris Martin's version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" on this list, but it's not on Spotify. Lame. This one is pretty solid though. Oh and you can listen to the other one here.

Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Dear John

Not a Christmas song at all! It's actually super depressing, but it feels wintery to me and I love Ryan Adams so there you go!

Hurts - All I Want For Christmas Is New Year's Day

Another depressing one, but it is about Christmas and honest. I like this band.
