Happy spring! Over at Caitlin & Caitlin, we’ve completely come down with the seasonal fever. LA is warm, the sunny days are now longer and the trees are flowering, making everything smell amazing. Mmm…jasmine! So naturally, we’re obsessing on all things bright and poppy—but instead of bringing you the typical floral roundup that we’re so inclined toward this time of the year, we wanted to talk about a different trend we’re stoked on—watercolor.
What we’re loving about watercolor right now is how fresh it feels after years of geometric prints like Ikat taking center stage. Watercolor is organic, fluid and oh-so happy. It perfectly embodies the vibe of spring—colorful, invigorating, lively and in hues that are bold yet desaturated thanks to the airy, translucent nature of the technique. We’ve pulled together a few of our favorites (sources included!) for you to lust over, too. Enjoy!

I am so happy watercolor is in this year...having grown by the ocean, we always had watercolors of the ocean in our home. I love seeing it in other textiles and products - lovely. Thanks for sharing!

That is so funny that you say that because it reminds me of my childhood summers at our lake house! Thanks, Katie!
