I have a major sweet tooth. If I didn't have more self control I could easily forego major meals and head straight to dessert. Aaron's a pretty smart guys so it didn't take him long to discover that the way to my heart was through cookies, cakes, and other delectable confectioneries! Have any free time on your hands this weekend? Nothing says you I love you like a delicious made-from-scratch dessert that you made all yourself! Here are five that are sure to have your favorite guy or gal swooning-- I certainly know I would!
1. S'mores! by The Faux Martha
Have a fireplace, fire pit, or just a good old-fashioned gas stove? This dessert is a total date night activity!
2. Mulled Cherries by Maras Wunderland
I want these stat! Wine, cherries, and freshly whipped cream sound like the perfect way to end a romantic Valentine's dinner.
3. Salted Caramel Ice Cream Cake Shots by Sugar and Cloth
Love salted caramel. Love ice cream. Love cake. Pretty sure this dessert was created for me!
4. Lemon Raspberry Chocolate Cupcakes by Bakers Royale
Someone remind not to write these posts right before dinner next time. Definitely ready to skip straight to dessert!
5. Cherry Almond Muffins by Pastry Affair
The first birthday I celebrated with Aaron was at Craft restaurant. (Clearly he was trying to impress me ;-)) To this day it's one of the best meals I've ever had. At the end of the meal, they sent us home with two muffins packaged to go for the morning. Not only were they delicious, but I thought that was such a clever touch!
Have a wonderful weekend, friends! Aaron has been flying between New Orleans, Detroit, and Atlanta this week so I think we are going to lay low for the next couple days so he can rest up before another big week. See you on Monday for our newest Cocktail Hour post-- Valentine's edition!

Those s'mores are so cute! I love the idea of making them over the stove since I don't have a fireplace.
