Oh my goodness!  It’s been nearly a week and I feel like I am just catching up from the whirlwind weekend that was Parker’s birthday, Easter, and both of our families being in town.  There were so many wonderful memories made and I am so grateful for everyone who came to celebrate our gal this weekend.  April is a doozy of a month.  I’ve been on set styling for ErgoBaby this week and am out and about today prepping a catalog shoot that starts this week and then off to Austin the following week for a big shoot with …

While I can’t believe Parker will be one in less than a month, I did finally breakdown and make some progress planning her party.  As much as I love baking and cooking and hosting a party with lots of fun diy details, I’ve decided (after some serious persuasion from Aaron) to hire out most of it.  I really want to be able to sit back and enjoy the day with our friends and family and celebrate this little lady that has brought us immeasurable joy.  The cake has been ordered from Big Sugar Bakeshop, Heirloom LA is catering, and …

I was having coffee earlier this week with a friend and we got on the topic of feeling indulgent.  In true capricorn form, I tend to think about time in terms of productivity and efficiency.  Since having Parker, time’s value has increased exponentially and thus some things like reading a book, listening to a podcast, or having a lunch out that doesn’t involve work have fallen by the wayside.  These things can feel so indulgent anyways that coupled with the need to get work done, emails responded to, dinner made, a house …
