I am fully owning the fact that I am rocking red, white, and blue in this post on July 7th, but I mean I am still kind of feeling the effects of the weekend! We took a 5:30am flight home from Austin yesterday (which is 3:30am west coast time) and Parker was so exhausted that she took a 4 hour afternoon nap-- poor gal! I will be posting more about our trip to Austin soon, but in the meantime wanted to see how all of your summers are going? Since Parker is able to enjoy activities more this year than she was last year, we have been taking advantage of so many fun evening events around town. A couple of weeks ago we went to The Getty Center for a picnic on the lawn and to check out some of the new galleries. The week before that we met up with some friends for the LACMA jazz night, complete with barbecue sandwiches and free admission to the exhibits and the week before that we did wine night at Barnsdall Park. Having a toddler during this time of year has somehow made me love the season even more and this look is perfect for all of the above activities-- relaxed, but looks pulled together and a jean jacket for those breezy nights after the sun goes down.
Do you know of other events in LA we should check out? What kinds of things do you do in your city during the summer?

I was actually just thinking along the same lines the past few days- summer is more fun with kids. I don't have my own yet, but I can imagine adventures to the pool, zoo, and even grocery stores being more fun with a child to share it with.
Love your look, easy going and perfect for summer.
