My Style // Sweatpants for Days

Nov 10, 2014 ·

Jen-Pinkston-Sweatpants-For-Day-1

It's no secret that these last two months of the year are jam-packed with events, engagements, and errand running galore.  I often talk about the need for looks to play chameleon with our ever-changing schedules and this sweat pant for day trend is perfect for running around, grabbing a quick bite, an afternoon meeting, or squeezing in some holiday shopping.  You can call them joggers, active pants or whatever other trendy name they're going by these days, but they're ultimately sweatpants and errand running has never been more comfortable or chic!

Here's what you might consider when wearing this trend:  Juxtapose the casual bottoms with a dressier top like this silk layered tank and always wear with heels.  This is no sneakers allowed territory unless you're actually working out.  For fall, top with a blazer or leather jacket to elevate the look even more.

I have never owned a Juicy Couture sweatsuit in my life, but I have to admit that I am fully on board with this trend.  Would you wear it?

So glad you posted this! Cute styling! As a dress designer and mom, I LIVE in sweatpants. I keep waiting for someone to start a clothing company with everything made of sweatshirt material. I would buy every piece. Until then, I recommend the J. Crew Vintage Skinny Sweatpants. I usually wait until they are on markdown with the extra 30% off. Then I load up on every color!

These pants look so comfortable and chic the way you styled them. The perfect look for a day filled with running around and meetings.
