My Style // Spring in Bloom

Apr 13, 2015 ·

I love how each new season feels ripe for a fresh start!  There is a lot to love about spring-- flowers in bloom, longer days with each passing week, and the promise of warmer weather just around the corner.   Lately in Los Angeles, the mornings and evenings have been chilly while things can really heat up in the afternoon.  Since it can be  a real challenge to dress for days that have such swinging temperatures, I've partnered with Johnston & Murphy to show you one of my go-to spring looks that works for just about any climate.  At the end of the day, there is really just one staple piece you need to own.  Can you guess what it is?

The trench coat.  If you've been visiting this site for awhile, you've probably heard me wax on about their greatness and superiority in the coat department on many occasions.  (Uh-hum, like here and here and here.)  I love that Johnston & Murphy carries pieces that are total classic with a twist.  Like the mod dot pattern on this trench coat.  I seriously can't get enough!  I love it paired with a floral silk top and then juxtaposed with these really distressed AG jeans.

I don't know about you, but I've packed up my boots and officially declared it pedicure weather from here on out.  I love that this simple sandal can be dressed up easily, but pairs well with this every day look, too.

Have you visited Johnston & Murphy recently?  If not, it's worth the peek!  Happy spring shopping!

Love how you paired the floral shirt with the graphic trench. Cute look for spring!

Love the trench but the sandals are way out of my budget for shoes 🙂
