Wardrobe-Staples-With-Old-Navy-1

Our last day in Vancouver last week was filled with light rain and breezy 50 degree temperatures that had me dreaming of fall!  There were these moody, gray storm clouds that hung over the sky all day and I even bought a cozy cashmere sweater, because it was just that kind of day (and I hadn't packed anything remotely warm enough!).  Meanwhile back in LA we were greeted with temps in the 90s and pure California sunshine, so I'm going to soak it up while I can with easy casual outfits like these.

I love the relaxed feel of these light-wash skinny boyfriend jeans.  This polka dot tank keeps the look fun and casual, but add a structured jacket and closed toe pump and it becomes a stand-out office look.

I love this. So cool, and simple, but it makes me feel excited for Fall because of the dark colored top. The turquoise bead on your bracelet is a perfect little accent.

Super cute and casual look! I normally keep things forever but I've been trying to change that by cleaning out my closet more often and purchasing classic pieces as well as closet staples.

I'm so with you on classic pieces. I can't get enough of them these days. I get over anything overly trendy way too fast!

I do a spring and autumn purge but some old favourites have lasted many years! I put the non season clothes in the loft and then it feels like new when i get to see them again! For work I used to have a grey/white/silver colour scheme so had a work/not work feeling... Now I work at home I do try not to hang around in pyjamas!!

Yes! I pack away my seasonal things under my bed. Out of sight, out of mind. It's the best!

lovely jen! in the summer i absolutely live in silk blouses, and in the cooler month cashmere sweaters. they never go out of style and always feel so good on your skin.
