My Style // Halloween Fashion

Oct 24, 2012 ·

Dressing up for Halloween doesn't mean head to toe in black or a hired costume from Party City! You can still get into the spirit and look chic and stylish. Check out my Halloween fashion tips for some metallic inspiration!Halloween fashion wearing a metallic coat with a pumpkin lantern

Just a week until the big day!  What are you all planning to be for Halloween?  Denise and I shot this look for this series last week.  It's my I-don't-feel-like-wearing-a-costume-halloween-costume.  Don't get me wrong.  I actually love dressing up.  After two consecutive weekends of parties, though, I have a feeling that this time next week I will feel more like wearing something simple like this.

Stylish Halloween Fashion

The great copper color of this metallic coat is quite festive for the occasion... not to mention perfect for many others to come!  Black skinny pants and pumps keep the focus on the coat and a fun feathery hair piece and cocktail ring finish off the look.  I stand by my belief that if feathers are in my hair, I am definitely wearing a costume.  The cheapest accessory I have ever purchased?  This pumpkin bucket!  I didn't think you could get anything for a dollar anymore!

Halloween clothes that you are comfortable in

Like I said, I love dressing up for Halloween, but my gosh some outfits can be so cumbersome! This outfit is a great way to still be part of the festivities whilst remaining comfortable. Just don't forget that pumpkin lantern!

Halloween Fashion for trick or treating

This is a great outfit to take the kids trick or treating in, especially once the temperatures drop during the evening. If you are planning on visiting neighbourhood homes, you can easily opt for a shorter heel so that you are more comfortable.

Top Tips for Stylish Halloween Fashion

  • Keep the colors simple - you can't go wrong with black and a splash of another color.
  • Accessories! Grab fun accessories to make your outfit Halloween ready.
  • If you plan on trick or treating, pick something warm and comfortable.
