A few weeks ago I started to realize that my summer uniform needed a little updating. It's so easy to just throw on a dress and sandals and call it a day, but it was starting to feel really repetitive. Enter the denim pencil skirt. It's certainly more dressed up than my favorite knock-around J. Crew denim shorts, but still feels casual and is just as versatile.
This look is my early-bird-dinner-date-with-baby-in-tow-look. Since Parker goes to bed around eight, we've mastered the art of hitting up one of our favorite neighborhood spots around six and finishing a glass of wine and dinner and still making it home in time for the bath. It's kind of the best and something I will always remember about our first summer with this gal. It's the little things, right?

Isn't it wonderful how some pieces are so classic? I still have my denim skirt that looks very much like yours from 2004! I brought it with me to wear while camping last week! My little guy turns 5 months old on the 1st and I'm SO enjoying my Mat leave with him this summer 🙂

This summer I'll remember the first day of my little (oh so sweet) Miguel on the beach and his superb happiness + the denims + the reds + working hard on my online business 🙂
