The calendar might say May, but the weather man says it's supposed to be 102 degrees today, so I think it's safe to say that summer is upon us! Plus, Memorial Day weekend is just a week away and that is, after all, the unofficial official start to summer. As temperatures heat up, I love a pared down minimalist look. Stylish pieces with a great fit put together in a way that's totally effortless chic, that's my go-to summer wardrobe look! Let's begin with these jeans:
This cropped denim look is everywhere right now and perfect for summer. I'm super into this lighter wash, too. It feels very lived in and authentic and is the perfect juxtaposition to to a tailored blazer or silk top if you wanted to take them out for an evening spin. The best part? Well, the best part is the fit... and the wash, which I'm obsessed with, but the next best part is the price tag: $19. Cha-ching!
In the spirit of effortless chic summer style, I present to you the nautical striped tank. This drapey knit tank is one of those pieces that I can't stop wearing. I imagine it tucked into a white cotton skirt with espadrilles for a summer Sunday brunch, thrown on top of a bikini for a come-hither beachy vibe or paired with denim cut-offs and sneakers for a saturday tomboy look.
The details? Minimal, but interesting bohemian pieces like this ring, these bracelets, and my favorite floppy hat. Oh, and the summer heel I can't stop wearing.
Promise me you'll stop into Old Navy this weekend and try on these Rockstar Crops! Your jaw will drop. Guaranteed! Here's to an unforgettable summer, friends! (Is it okay to just start calling it summer a little early? It ends way too soon, so might as well stretch it out, right?)
