I've mentioned no less than a dozen times on social media that last week I was at Alt Summit in Salt Lake City, so sorry about bringing it up yet again! This was my second time at Alt. My first was three years ago when I had just started this blog. I was dipping my toe into the world of running a blog and not only did Alt open my eyes, but it connected me to people who have become great friends and been made a huge impact on my journey as a digital influencer. Needless to say, I was psyched to be able to come back this year and speak! I was less psyched to have to dig my winter coat out of the closet where it hasn't been touched in almost a year. I have become such a California girl when it comes to cold weather. There is definitely an argument to be made for experiencing all four seasons, but I don't hate that I laid out in my backyard in a swimsuit on Sunday in the 85 degree weather. That's not the only thing I love about LA...
I love that you can surf and ski in the same day. I love fish tacos in Malibu and scouting for flea market treasures in Pasadena. I love that we rarely ever go somewhere without bumping into a familiar face. I love that we are just a short three hour flight from my family in Austin, although most days I wish they were much closer...
I love laid back, effortless California style. I love denim everything. Authentic denim. I love this jean jacket and that my sweater has a sun bather on it. I love discovering new bright walls and unfamiliar buildings while we are out scouting and shooting. I love that there is always a new restaurant or shop or bar popping up to try. I love that we are just a jaunt away from Palm Springs, San Diego, and San Francisco.
I love that it's still January and this year has just begun, still so full of possibility. What do you love about your town?
