My Style / Afternoon in Silver Lake

With the nursery coming together and the weeks ticking off the calendar at rapid fire pace, it feels like the countdown to this little one’s arrival has really begun!  On top of that, we have been really busy here shooting some fun new features for the blog.  One day last week, I simply couldn’t stare at my computer screen any longer so I decided to go for a little afternoon outing on one of my favorite streets, Silver Lake Boulevard.  (You can see the full post over on Camille Styles!)

It really is the cutest little street.  It’s a lot smaller and has less traffic than Melrose and Sunset, so you really feel like you are shopping in a little neighborhood.  Plus, a stop at Lamill Coffee makes the whole trip worth it.  Their orange-infused cappuccino is amazing and the warm brioche donuts with raspberry preserves just melt in your mouth!  (Can you tell I am having a major sweet tooth with this pregnancy?)

As for getting dressed these days, I have been trying to have fun with it even as this bump gets bigger and bigger.  (That being said, I see my summer dresses hanging in the back of my closet and can hardly wait until my non-pregnant self is wearing them!)  I do love this outfit, though, because it feels like something I would have worn pre-pregnancy– sans elastic jean and stretchy shirt panels, of course.

Just 11 more weeks, friends!

Thank you! I was getting tired of all of the dark reds I had been wearing over the holidays, so I thought something soft and pastel would be the perfect antidote!
