My Grammy Recap

Feb 9, 2015 ·

IMG_2312

So you might have already guessed from my overly zealous Instagram feed that I attended the Grammys last night!  The Grammys.  Seriously!  As a stylist I've dressed clients for the Grammys but I've never imagined myself attending the show. You might remember we worked with Crest earlier this year when I tried out their Crest 3D White Whitestrips Supreme FlexFit (It's a mouthful, I know).  I was super impressed with the results so when they asked if I would come show off my new white smile at the Grammys, I happily obliged! (It was a total no brainer!)  Here's the thing.  Celebrities may have an arsenal of incredibly talented stylists, hair stylists and make up artists in their back pocket, but I am 100% convinced that you don't need to spend a fortune or have Hollywood's elite stylists on speed dial to look red carpet ready. Here's what my day getting ready and attending the Grammys with Grasie and Stephanie looked like:

My beauty essentials included Stella McCartney perfume, Bare Minerals lipgloss, Crest 3D white whitestrips, a bright pink nail to pop against my little black dress, and gold shoes and accessories.

Down on the red carpet I ran into my Ellen show friends! Once we had all of the red carpet we could handle, we stopped for a little pre-show margarita...

Then, it was showtime!IMG_2323 We had such a blast! We watched Taylor Swift ham it up during every single performance and every eyeball in the room glued to Rihanna's incredible gown when she entered after the first commercial break (out of those seats, seat fillers!).  We danced with AC/DC and Pharrell and were moved by Kanye and Annie Lennox.  It was a night that won't be soon forgotten!

My dress is Anna Sui from Anthropologie!  I'm super excited to wear it again and again and again!
