Mad Hatter

Are you a hat person?  I recently bought a hat.  Not just a beanie, a full-on beautiful burgundy wool, 70’s style hat.  It was an interesting purchase because I don’t wear hats– besides beanies– but I do really love the idea of wearing hats so that’s a start.  I was working on a job last week on the Warner Brothers lot and found myself in their huge costume rental house.  There are entire aisles, shelves, and bins assigned just for all of the different hats worn throughout the different eras.  Some of them are a little tattered but each of them is so intricate and beautiful and I couldn’t help but think it would be so great to live in a time where a hat was a commonplace accessory.  Enter my recent hat purchase. It is sitting here right next to me as I contemplate its existence in my wardrobe.  I am not exactly sure how or when she will make her debut but I will be sure to document it in photos so that I can share them with you here.  In the meantime, here are some of my favorites.  Do you fancy any of these?  Would you wear them?

  5. I love hats! I’m not sure about that lumpy blue and white one, but the rest are beautiful! I have a hard time trying to style them though 🙁
