While I have only known Suki by our email exchanges, it was obvious to me when I checked out her online shop, STYLEVISA, that she must have impeccable taste! The carefully curated assortment of home decor and style accessories you find there is quite unique as they are purchased by her and her globe-trotting husband during the course of their travels. As if that weren't impressive enough, Suki is also the founder of the boutique agency, Lexington PR, representing clients in beauty, food, and lifestyle. Here is what she had to say about her own effortlessly chic style!
How would you describe your personal style?
I’d describe my personal style as classic, simple and hopefully elegant! I like timeless pieces and absolutely adore styles from the 1960s like flats, cropped pants and trench coats. I also like mixing in a touch of bohemian style with ethnic-inspired jewelry and accessories. I have a pretty big collection of bangles, dangly earrings and scarves for all seasons. I tend to shy away from bright colors – you’ll usually find me in neutral shades, earth tones and black.
Do you find your work influences your personal style or vice versa?
I think it goes both ways! I spend a lot of time around creative influences between STYLEVISA and my clients, so I’m always picking up new ideas and aesthetics. On the other hand, I’ve always had a clear sense of what styles work for me personally and I’m sure that this has influenced my work. Working for myself and in the design world has also given me a lot of flexibility to express my personal style all the time.
What was your most recent purchase?
A camel colored wool military coat.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
I’m always pulling new accessories from STYLEVISA and I love to shop at independent local boutiques. Other favorite places are Comptoir des Cotonniers, Reiss, Club Monaco, Zara, Madewell and J.Crew.
If you could give someone one piece of style advice, what would it be?
Invest in a handful of great pieces that are well made and timeless in their style. You’ll end up using them more and they’ll still look great years later.
