Meet Spardha: Super cool marketing girl and lifestyle blogger extraordinaire! She is savvy and chic and we have almost all of the same style icons, so I had to get to the bottom of what influences her amazing sense of personal style. Also, she is from Toronto, so who better to give us the skinny on staying stylish as the temperatures continue to drop?
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is pretty classic, I tend to lean towards the structured silhouettes and simple shapes. But within that, I like to play with mixing colours, prints & textures.
Do you have a style icon?
Yes! So many! These days I love finding inspiration from street style, especially; Miroslava Duma and Taylor Tomasi Hill. They always look amazing. I also think life would be pretty fantastic if I shared a closet with Diane Kruger and Ashley Olsen.
Do you find that your work influences your style or vice versa?
Oh most definitely. I’m very lucky and thankful to be surrounded with some serious talent and creativity at work so I am always grabbing ideas. That being said I have a pretty clear idea of who I am and what I like, and I think that is always reflected in my work {personal and professional}.
What sort of pieces are you most into lately?
Printed pants – little obsessed. A pair of black patent loafers I got when I was recently in London (wish I had bought a couple pairs). And of course many many bracelets. I always work some accessories around my Grandpa’s watch which I wear every day.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
Zara, Joe Fresh, JCrew, Augustina, Club Monaco, Jonathan + Olivia
What is on your wishlist for Winter?
Well at the moment, I’m still after a great pair of ankle boots – there is a pair of Rag and Bone ones that I have been eyeing. And of course one of the best things about Winter (especially here in Canada) is the chance to get a new coat! So in the spirit of a true “ holiday wishlist” I would love one of the oversized Jil Sander coats OR a lovely Joseph Altuzarra military coat.
What is one piece of style advice you would give someone?
Be yourself – don’t jump on a trend if it doesn’t reflect who you are
