I have to be honest. This Her Style column is fast becoming one of my favorite columns on our site! I love reading about other people's personal style philosophies and getting inspired by the way they put looks together. I have even noticed some of you pinning the images to your style inspiration boards -- I love that! Today's Her Style gal is a friend of mine here in LA that was introduced to me not too long ago by a mutual friend. She is an incredibly talented jewelry designer that has been featured throughout WWD, Teen Vogue, Nylon-- just to name a few, is married to an amazing sculptor and has one of the cutest little one year old baby boys you have ever seen! She put together this great 90s get-up for us that has me dreaming of the first couple of seasons of Sex and the City...
How would you describe your personal style?
it's a repeat of my parents in the 70s and 80s.
Do you find that your work influences your style or vice versa?
it's a circular thing for me- both are a way of life for me, therefore nothing is separate.
Do you have a style icon?
there are so many who inspire me, but if I have to choose, my mom and my dear friends Amanda.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
the Salvation Army in Santa Monica, Beacon's in Williamsburg, Wasteland in San Francisco, and Target.
What is on your wishlist for summer?
a new pair of mid-heeled ankle/chelsea boots... mine have holes in the bottom. I wear them with dresses, cut-offs, everything. i have huge feet so I wear my shoes until they literally fall apart.
