Her Style {Amy}

Sep 4, 2012 ·

Happy September everyone!  I trust you all had wonderful long weekends and, if you are anything like me, you are working double time today to get caught up.  It seemed the best way to start September here on the blog was with a fabulous Her Style post brought to you by Amy, the wardrobe consultant and fashion blogger behind Dallas Wardrobe.  Hopefully her fun wooly jacket is just the thing you need to get in the mood for some fall shopping!
How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my style as classic, but sometimes I like to get out of my fashion comfort zone and try new things!

Do you have a style icon?
Kate Middleton because her style is timeless, chic + relatable.
Do you find that your work influences your style or vice versa?
As a wardrobe consultant + fashion blogger I would say that my style influences my work. My clients + readers want to work with me/follow me because of my personal style + taste. I don't like to change someone's personal style, my style definitely influences, I just help them translate it to make it their own.

What sort of pieces are you most into lately?
My current obsessions are dresses [it's hot in Texas], pumps, skinny jeans, basic t-shirts + peplum
Where are your favorite places to shop?
Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Scoop, Zara + H&M

What is on your wishlist for Fall?
This season it's really back to the basics for me. Riding boots, blazers, leather [shorts, skirts, leggings] + embellished knits. classic pieces not only make for a great investment they are timeless.

What is one piece of style advice you would give someone?
Fashion does not have to cost a fortune. if you put the right pieces together + hit the right stores with a little patience you can look like a million bucks without spending much at all.
