I don't know about you, but I came home from traveling over the holidays with a major urge to organize my life! One issue I've been having over the last year was trying to find the best way to organize my jewelry. I have personal jewelry, jewelry that is part of my wardrobe stock that comes with me to photo shoots, and also pieces that float between work and personal. The result was jewelry stored in half a dozen different places and never where I thought it was! I was at Western Costume this week picking up some kit supplies when I discovered the perfect solution! Industrial metal hangers with long pieces of canvas and 40 vinyl pockets on each side. (The exact same version is available here!)
1. Begin by laying out your organizers and all of your jewelry. I bought two hangers and it fit everything except for a few really chunky pieces that are too big for these pockets. Those pieces are now hanging from a shoe bag on the backs of one of the hangers.
2. Separate your jewelry by type: earrings, necklaces, rings, etc. This way when you start putting them in the pockets, all like things are together and easy to find.
3. Voila! Easy to store, easy to access and easy for me to take with me to photo shoots!
