Parker wrapped up summer school last week, signaling that the start of the school year is just around the corner.  Even post-college and pre-kids, when there were no school supplies to purchase and no real indication that a “new year” was on the horizon, September has always conjured up for me feelings of newness, a fresh start, a prime time to set new goals and start working to reach them.  In the same way that my twelve year old self would begin planning first week of school outfits, mixing and matching denim shorts with ribbed tees and colored overalls with floral tops, my thirty-four year self starts gravitating towards more pulled together ensembles.  Linen dresses naturally progress towards the back of the closet as woven tops and cropped trousers begin to take their place.  Looking to channel your own bold boss vibes this September?  Take a note from these looks below and feel free to peruse the shopping round up at the end of the post with some of our favorite pieces we’re coveting for fall…
