One of the hardest decisions I ever made was choosing where to go on our honeymoon. Aaron is pretty laid-back and would be happy just about anywhere so he left our honeymoon whereabouts up to me-- which seemed great at the time. I never thought I would have such a hard time choosing! Was Hawaii too cliche? Was Europe tropical enough for a honeymoon? For some reason I felt so much pressure to pick the perfect place! I finally settled on Spain-- Mallorca and Barcelona-- and never looked back!
It was such a great trip and Aaron took such amazing pictures. I wanted a way to remember it without printing the typical "Here we are on the beach" vacation photo. We still have plenty of bare walls in our house so finding a place for it was not going to be a problem! I have been searching for a piece of art for this wall in particular for months:
I started flipping through Aaron's photos and found one of two guys sitting on a beach in Barcelona early in the morning before anyone else had arrived. I thought it would make a cool print so I took it down to A & I in Hollywood and asked them to print it on a chrome paper that gave it really blue and silver tones that would go with our living room. They recommended a place locally that would mount it in between two thin sheets of plexiglass, as opposed to doing a regular frame so I did that as well.
A few tools for optimal hanging:
And voila! The husband was more than a little surprised when he came home to this:
