March is always a very busy month here in Austin. There’s SXSW which attracts music connoisseurs and digital buffs alike, followed just a couple of week’s later by the Round Top Antique Market. Plus, there’s the usual crowd of tourists in town for Bachelor/Bachelorette parties or just because they have really good taste in cities—wink, wink. We partnered with CVS today to share some exciting news about their latest offerings of healthy snacks that are perfect for those on the go and also three of my favorite Austin shops that I’ve fallen for, head over heels, should you find yourself in this wonderful city in the coming weeks or months! But first, let’s chat about these snacks. As someone who constantly finds herself in her car on the move from one location to the next, often times without a lot of time for a lunch break, I love knowing that I can pop into CVS for everything from greek yogurt to Lara Bars and gluten-free to paleo. Whether I’m coming from the gym, en route to a shoot, or heading out to a meeting, there’s always a healthy snack in my bag, just in case. This spring, more than 250 fresh, refrigerated and non-perishable healthy foods and beverages have hit shelves at CVS Pharmacy stores from brands including: Amy’s Kitchen, Annie’s Homegrown, Chobani, Vita CoCo, Bai, Krave Jerky, Rhythm Superfoods, That’s it bars as well as new products from the CVS Pharmacy exclusive line, Gold Emblem abound™ which is free from artificial preservatives, flavors and colors. (Keep reading for our favorite shops and a super cute video!)
First on our list of favorite Austin shops is Frond Shop, the reason for my most recent plant obsession. We use their pieces often in our tabletop shoots and I’ve been buying them personally for our new place. I find everything from birthday cards to the prettiest scissors here! (Also, this trail mix from CVS is super yummy! I have an extra in the console of my car now.)
Our next stop was just down the street to esby. You can't talk about favorite Austin shops without mentioning esby. All of their clothing is designed right here in the shop in Austin and made in the USA. There’s the cutest linen jumpsuit that I have my eye on and am always tempted by their unique selection of jewelry and accessories. Think natural fibers, drapey linens, and clothes you can wear every day.
Our last stop? Cove! This store feels very LA and beachy to me, in the best possible sense of those words. Think flowy, bohemian dresses and super chic swimwear coupled with your favorite jeans and tees. What more could a girl want? (Besides a snack…)
I’m proud to partner with CVS Pharmacy on this post for the CVS healthy foods line. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
(PS. For those who have asked, the top is from Adelante here in Austin-- another great shop!-- or available here if you're not local. Necklace is from Natalie Borton.)
