Can we all agree that the definition of adulting is when the amount of skincare products you pack on vacation exceeds the amount of makeup in your bag? Most days now, my makeup routine is an eyebrow pencil, mascara, and subtle lipstick. My skincare routine, on the other hand is much more involved and I couldn't say in truth that I haven't spent countless hours considering and researching it! I've had a couple people text me and DM me on IG recently, so I figured I would put it all here. Now for the disclaimers: The routine is always changing which is why I dated this post. The general idea stays the same, but I am always trying out new products. (Plus, there are some things I can't use right now while I'm breastfeeding.) I also use exclusively clean skincare products now and you can see our team's full list of favorites here in this post.
AM:
-I start by splashing clean, cold water on my face and bypass using an actual cleanser. Someone recommended that I cut out cleanser in the morning. It's not really necessary. The only difference I've noticed is that my skin is less dry.
-Next I apply some kind of Vitamin C serum. I've had SkinCeutical samples of the CE Ferulic, which I do like, but have a hard time justifying the price. I think I'm going to go with this one when it's out.
-Next I mix a sunscreen with a daily moisturizer. I loathe sunscreen. I hate the consistency. I hate the shiny finish. There's not one that I'm 100% in love with, but I know it's necessary. Right now I use this one from MyChelle and it really is my favorite so far. I'm mixing it with Elemis Superfood Day Cream before applying and it all goes on so much better together.
PM:
-Right now I'm using the Purifying Gel Cleanser from Seaweed Bath Co. in the evening.
-Then I take off any remaining eye makeup with Everbelle balm.
-After that I'm using Juice Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum followed by Elemis Superfood Night Cream. If I'm feeling like my skin is particularly dry I might layer an oil on top of that about thirty minutes later after the first two products have absorbed.
A Couple Times A Week:
-I'm obsessed with the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Exfoliating Peel Spray. I spray 2-3 pumps into my hands and rub it all over my face and a few seconds later all of your dead skin begins to peel off into your fingertips like a sunburn. It's so good and addicting.
-Either the Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Masque or the Beauty Counter Charcoal Mask twice a week.
-I would be using a retinol 2-3 times a week if I weren't breastfeeding. My favorite is this one by Image.
What are your favorite products that I need to try?!

I just wanted to chime in that the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic serum is totally worth the price. It is a game changer when combined with your morning moisturizer and actually boosts the effectiveness of your sunscreen. I wish I had started using it earlier.

Oh very good to hear! Just curious, what makes you prefer it over more affordable Vitamin C options?
