I used to think that I was a dessert person. Over time though I realized I'm actually just a really-into-delicous-food-in-general person. My favorite meals are the ones that last four hours, are filled with lively conversation and end with something sweet for dessert accompanied by Irish Coffee... this one has a twist! It is the perfect nightcap, if you ask me, so I thought it would also be the perfect drink for our second edition of Cocktail Hour!
If you are having friends over, it is such an easy edition to your menu and a perfect way (for those who are not driving) to end their night at your place. (Hey! Check out our West Elm vases making a cameo. The limbs and andirons are a new addition since this post.)
I know typical Irish coffee does not have Kahlua but these two little guys + coffee = goodness!

My Recipe... Not so sure that it is bartender approved, but I hereby give you my two thumbs up! It also happens to be the easiest recipe ever. No shaking, no stirring just brew the coffee and pour away!
2 parts coffee or espresso
1 part Kahlua
1 part Irish Cream
(You can even top with whipped cream!)
Easy enough, right? Stay tuned for our next Cocktail Hour post two weeks from today. It's going to be a good one!

Oh yum. I have done coffee and just kahlua- works for me!! Love it. It was the secret to me doing my taxes this year.. (just one drink though, more could be trouble).
