Are you more of a wine or a cocktail kind of person? To me cocktails feel like a special occasion. Wine is a cozy night in with a home-cooked meal and a cocktail is celebratory-- a night out for an anniversary or girl's night. (Both of which are on my calendar this week!) When I do mix up a cocktail at home, especially these days, I have been into simpler combinations. This Grapefruit Bitters Margarita is sort of a happy accident that happens to be really good! (Melissa also pointed out to me during our shoot that I really play favorites with tequila. It's true! You could sub vodka for tequila in this recipe for a totally different taste. Sort of like a play on the screwdriver. Anyhow, without further ado, let's get shaking!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup grapefruit juice
- ¼ cup tequila
- dash of orange bitters
- ice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and strain over one enormous round ice cube or just regular ice, but the round cube is pretty fun, yes?
