{Raspberry Lemon Drop}
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em right? That is my new motto as our summer continues to soldier on into October. Yesterday, we went to the farmers market in Studio City and took advantage of all of the late summer produce-- the sweetest strawberries and avocados the size of a grapefruit! Then, last night I took our farmers market raspberries and giant lemons drooping from the tree and made these Raspberry Lemon Drops. We grilled dinner out under the full moon in shorts and tank tops and enjoyed what will hopefully be one of the last warm evenings of the year... Fingers crossed!
Raspberry Lemon Drop
Ingredients
3-4 fresh raspberries
2 ounces Vodka of choice
Juice from 1 freshly squeezed lemon (1 ½ to 2 ounces depending on lemon)
1 tbsp simple syrup
Lemon wheel, rosemary sprig, and fresh raspberries for garnish
Preparation
Muddle raspberries with simple syrup and pour into a martini glass. Pour Raspberry Vodka and fresh squeezed lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake and pour into martini glass over the muddled raspberries. Garnish with a raspberries, lemon wheel, and a sprig of rosemary.
Cheers!
