The weekend went by so fast didn't it? We rented a house in Palm Springs this weekend with 8 of our closest friends and spent the majority of the time lounging by the pool and catching up on life. This was our second annual Palm Springs trip and it struck me at one point how much had happened in the single year that has elapsed since we were last there. Two of our friends were now parents, we had bought our first home, other friends had been married, and others were making really exciting advancements and changes in their career paths. There was no denying it: We were grown-ups. Adulthood does come with it's perks... these icy beverages for example! I made these with a hot summer barbeque in mind-- perfect for a 4th of July backyard bash, no? The southern hostess in me has really been enjoying stocking up on new serving pieces and this tray and bowl combination from Target is one of my favorites this summer!
