My name is Jen Pinkston and I'm addicted to skincare products. If there's a serum or a mask, you better believe I'm here for it. In 2017, I started aggressively tossing out any beauty products that contained, phthalates, parabens, or artificial fragrance and began experimenting with clean skincare products. In 2018, we published our first Clean Beauty Awards as an email newsletter which received such a great response that we turned it into a blog post. Since then, I've discovered even more great products that I love and intend on updating that post with them this year. Because it's so in-depth and covers so many categories, though, I thought it might be nice to create smaller, easier to digest posts, like this on clean beauty moisturizers, that cover the products I'm loving in each category right now. Agree? Are you into it? Or would you rather have it all live in that one big post? Let me know! As of now, we are planning a new category each month and I would love to know which categories of products you're most interested in hearing about.
Without further ado, here are my current five favorite clean beauty moisturizers:
Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream: Osea is based in Malibu, California and incorporates bioavailable seaweed with cold pressed essential oils and other ingredients to calm skin and protect it from toxins in the atmosphere. This one is very lightweight and has a very pleasant, but totally non-descript and not overpowering aroma.
Emminence Bright Skin Moisturizer with SPF 30: This is one of my favorite lines and this product in particular is full of antioxidants and protects your skin with SPF 30 while also lightening dark spots and brightening your skin's overall appearance.
Chantecaille Creme Anti-Stress: This product is a splurge, but is amazing for helping smooth texture and reduce redness and inflammation. It contains an assortment of essential oils, botanicals, seaweed and vitamins that nourishes and hydrates skin and claims to make skin appear younger.
Beautycounter Adaptive Moisture Lotion: If you're into Beautycounter or curious about it, you should definitely follow my friend Brooke on Instagram. She sent me a few new products to try towards the end of last year and this one was by far my favorite. It's super lightweight and just feels so good on your skin. It's great if you're already using an SPF and are looking for something that doesn't have UV protection.
Image Prevention+ Daily Hydrating Moisturizer: I love this one because I love the brand and ingredients that they use, but also because of how lightweight it is. It's so hard to find a lightweight moisturizer with SPF and this one is great!
Any great clean beauty moisturizers that we missed?

I would love to know your picks for masks that actually work! There are so many choices out there and it's so hard to know what to actually purchase!
Jen Pinkston says
Gosh that's so true! There are a couple of other popular ones I want to try before reporting on masks, but this is definitely on the list. Any in particular you want us to try?

Would you judge me if I said I never wear moisturizer?! I should buy one of these!
Jen Pinkston says
LOL. I have a friend who hardly does anything to her skin and it looks amazing! I am so dry immediately after I wash my face!

Have you tried Skinceuticals? I love their emollience moisturizer. Also, Elta MD!
Jen Pinkston says
Oh, yes! I actually have tried that one and really liked. It's super light-- very similar actually to the Countermatch!
