There are certain rules in life that are made to be broken. For example, “everything in moderation”. Sometimes a little excess is just the right amount. And how about the “no cocktails before five” rule? Brunch sans mimosas just isn’t brunch at all. How do you feel about the “only wearing white from Easter to Labor Day” clause? Personally, I threw that one out the window a long time ago! Sometimes bright white on a grey day is just what the doctor ordered, no matter what month it may be.
Now that we are in the full swing of spring (and able to wear white, even according to the rule-abiding fashion set), I am living in white jeans! They just feel so much springier than dark denim. They make neutral colors stand out and pastels instantly pop! I picked up these white skinnies last week…
Here in LA, it’s still pretty chilly in the mornings so I’ve picked up a couple lightweight sweaters to get me through until summer. This one is so cheerful, isn’t it? I love to pop white with pastels, thus this canary cross body that I can’t get enough of.
I was heading out to a meet with a possible new client for a styling job so I dressed this easy look up with my favorite glittery pumps. (Full disclosure, though, I was in a flat sandal by lunch!) Now I don’t know if it was my portfolio or these bright white jeans, but I did get the job 😉
I have had clients in the past tell me that they’re hesitant to buy white because they’re afraid they will be too hard to keep clean. On the contrary, white is actually a breeze in the laundry room! A little bleach in the machine and they’re as good as new!
