For all of our many differences, one thing that Aaron and I have always both loved is to travel. We even differ by how we like to spend our vacations: Aaron likes to hike or climb to some unsafe point that makes me hold my breath and yell things at him, as well as take lots of photos. I like to look up the best restaurants the city has to offer, wander in and out of small shops, and spend a good chunk of time in the city’s most interesting museums. Luckily we’ve both gotten pretty good at doing both. Aaron has some time off in the spring and we have made up our minds that there is most definitely a trip in our future. Now just to decide where to go?! Here’s what we are thinking… would love your ideas, too!
Did you know that 97% of Sweden is uninhabited? It feels like the perfect combination of a place that has a lot of beautiful natural wonders to explore has well as a really creative design city in Stockholm.
Iceland has been on our list for a really long time. So many natural wonders! Blue Lagoon looks insane, although I always wonder if it really looks like that or does it more closely resemble your neighborhood pool in August when the temperatures reach 100 degrees for the first time, over run with people dying to take a dip. It really feels like a place that would be such a great opportunity to unplug.
Amsterdam (It’s Tulip Season!) //
So we actually visited Amsterdam the very first summer after we started dating on a whim, but the tulips weren’t in bloom since it was summer and I have been dying to go back. Although, it kind of seems like a waste to head back to somewhere we have already been! Has anyone been? Worth it?
Where else would you go?!
