10 Ways to Wear Tonal Color

I spent the better part of the weekend cozied up in fall clothes– sweaters and boots happily on repeat with warm beverages abounding.  As excited as I am to dive into fall, the closet of our rental is bursting at the seams, with clothes also stored away under the bed and in a dresser.  (The situation wasn’t helped by a little fall-weather-inspired shopping last week.) It’s driving me a bit crazy, but I’m just counting down the days until we move into our new place to get it all worked out.  I’m loving a lot about fashion this season: Wide leg pants, be them cropped or long, structured and tailored pieces galore, and most of all, the return of bold color to fall.  I’m not big into contrast, so one of my favorite ways to wear color is monochromatically.  It’s interesting how layering on more of the same color actually feels more subdued and elevated to me than a bright color contrasted with a neutral a lot of times.  Here are 10 of my favorite ways, including a couple of neutrals if you’re still color adverse 😉
