10 Ways to Wear The Western Trend Like The Cool Girl You Are

I can probably blame my recent western wear obsession on Santa Fe to some extent, but I’ve actually been loving this western trend of late and have enjoyed watching as collection after collection has rolled out the past couple of seasons with suede fringe, vintage washed denim, western-detailed footwear, and the like.  After all, Texas is my birth place and will always have my heart, so I do so love these odes to the wild west styled in a fresh new way.  Personally I love when the western trend is juxtaposed against something contrasting or modern. For example the denim maxi layered over a mock turtleneck with 90’s era grunge boots or a ten gallon hat paired with a raw silk floral dress.  These types of slip on mules can go with just about everything and they’re dark hued details make them perfect for dressing up for evening.  Speaking of… Is it boot season yet? I got to pull mine out for my quick 48 hour jaunt to San Francisco, but they’re now back in the closet eagerly awaiting cooler temps…  Tell me: Would you wear this western trend? How would you style it?
