Jessi Heggan grew up loving to spend time in the kitchen creating new and fun foods for friends and family, but had to rethink the way she cooked when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at 24. She turned to her kitchen for healing and began creating new and healthier recipes in the process. Her husband, Joey, is her willing recipe tester and her friends and family always insist that she cook for every event. Jessi photographs each of her recipes and posts them on her website, jessiskitchen.com. She’s passionate about helping people learn to cook and enjoy healthy and clean food as much as she does.
Kara is a foodie, a lover of all things ice cream, an avid adventurer, and admittedly addicted to bubble gum. She is the author of the site, By Kara Elise, and believes that food creates a space for us to welcome others into our lives. Her mantra with food is that what we put into our bodies directly affects the way we feel about ourselves. When we eat something beautiful, we feel beautiful. She loves introducing others to the language of food and empowering women to cultivate beauty in their own lives. When she’s not cooking, you’ll find her out with a girlfriend, drinking wine, planning my next excursion around the globe, missing London, and dreaming big.
