China Bound

Happy weekend, friends!  Do you have big plans? I mentioned in this post that I am in Austin for the weekend.  Last night we celebrated with my sister and toasted her graduation, first at Second Bar + Kitchen, and then later at the Driscoll Bar.  Last week Aaron and I booked a trip to China this summer!  It was kind of a surprise destination.  One minute we were talking about how cool it would be to stand on top of … +more

Greetings from Australia!

Hi, friends!  How are your weeks going?  Somehow, because I am so far away, you guys feel very far away.  That doesn’t even make sense does it?  This is my first visit to Australia and after a week here, I can report that it is a really rad place.  While both Melbourne and Sydney both boast great food, coffe, and super friendly people, they couldn’t be more different, which I didn’t expect at all!  Melbourne feels more urban– a lot … +more

Glamping

Have you heard of this trend?  We had some friends go “glamping”– glamorous camping if you didn’t catch that– in Santa Barbara last spring and loved it!  Aaron has always given me a hard time because camping to me growing up was in an RV with my favorite pillow and a down comforter.  Am I right?  He says that doesn’t count!  To him camping has to be in a tent, so this luxurious yurt might be the perfect compromise for … +more

Vacation in {Paris}

I have been to Paris twice.  Once in high school with my family and once a few years ago with Aaron.  (Only once did I think I was getting proposed to, but I will save that story for another day!)  I just love this city.  It is filled with so much charm that it often times remind me more of a quaint town than the bustling city center that it is.  Croissant in hand, I can walk and walk for … +more

Vacation in {Charleston}

Two weeks ago today, Aaron and I were waking up in Charleston, South Carolina for the first time.  It may not be Bali or Tahiti, but it has been on my list of must visit places for quite some time.  Needless to say, I woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed the first morning, ready to see the sights!  Our day started with a walk to Hope & Union for a delicious morning latte, some shopping on King Street where, moved by … +more

Vacation in {London}

With the olympics right around the corner, what better place to take a trip to than the host city itself, London!  Lucky for us, our intern Lexie recently spent a few months studying abroad there and agreed to share her favorite spots around the town with us, along with her must-stay hotel recommendation.  Take it away, Lexie!

After studying abroad in London for 4 months this past semester, I can honestly say there is no city I love more than … +more

Vacation in {Palm Springs}

Oh yes– this definitely happened last weekend!  Every year during our annual Palm Springs trip Aaron takes a photo like this of everyone before we leave.  Isn’t it fun?  This was last year’s.  While we vow not to leave the house for the 3 days that we are there, Palm Springs is a pretty fun town to adventure in for a weekend.  Brunch at the Parker, coffee at Espresso Cielo, and dinner at Copley’s won’t disappoint!  Just be sure to … +more
