Spring Kicks

While we eagerly await the warmer weather and longer days that spring inevitably has in store for us, we’ve been getting up to date on our favorite spring trends like the ruffle and mixed prints.  It’s not every season, though, that shoe trends are so unique themselves.  From tassels to lucite heels, I explored this season’s new trends over on the new Bethenny.com.  Have you checked it out?  I can hardly wait for her show to launch in the fall. … +more

Floral Pumps

While I am currently kicking my feet up on the drive down to San Diego (just for the day!), I had to share with you my favorite pumps for spring!  Consider this the slow evolution of florals.  Last spring it was all about the floral jean and now, a year later, no one can get enough of these adorable floral pumps.  Why should you?  They are adorable and I am obsessed!  For an understated look, pair with dark denim … +more

5 Under $25

Ah, shoes!  Who can ever have enough?  (My closet would beg to differ.)  There is definitely a time and a place for investment shoes that you have your years and take to the cobbler every six or twelve months or so to be re-soled or refinished.  However, when it comes to trendy patterns and styles, there’s nothing like a cheap pair that you can walk into the ground and toss out at the end of their short lifespan.  For example, … +more

Wardrobe Essentials

Happy Friday!  I am so happy to be back home in sunny California!  What did everyone think of yesterday’s Emmy nominations? I, for one, can hardly wait to see what kind of looks Zooey Deschanel and Lena Dunham are working on the red carpet that night.  Both are such talented women with intensely unique personal style so I have a feeling it won’t be your typical run-of-the-mill red carpet look.  Speaking of excitement, everyone seemed to really enjoy the … +more

Vacation Shoes

My parents just left yesterday after a 5 day visit here in LA.  Having them here felt like I was on vacation.  We went to Catalina, Wine Tasting in Santa Ynez, and visited some new sites here around town.  The weather was warm, the food was yummy, and now I am itching for an actual vacation!  When I spotted these Paloma Barcelo wedges it only made matters worse.  The spanish shoes are handcrafted and perfect for a weekend in Mexico, … +more

Coral

I thought this bright and cheery color was the perfect way to begin the week!  Have you started your spring shopping yet? Promise me you will include something in this beautiful shade!  I am loving it for everything from suede pumps to short shorts and everything in between.  Its pairs great with neutrals like light gray and bright white and looks amazing with other colors: cobalt blue, sunny yellow, and other pinks and oranges!

Be Bright!

My first job in fashion?  Working at the Gap during college and taking mad advantage of that great employee discount!  It may not have been New York Fashion Week or the set of a Covergirl commercial but the mod plaid raincoat I scored at 50% off was quite fabulous for a 19 year-old college student.  However, it was not nearly as fabulous at getting to style the Rue Magazine girls on their new campaign with the Gap!  Here are just … +more

Currently Obsessed

Since we touched down in Austin late Saturday night it has been non-stop parties and get-togethers with friends!    Perhaps that is why I have been craving all things sparkling!  My most recent purchase was a skinny gold belt which I imagine will make its first appearance at our Black & Gold themed New Year’s Eve party.  However that doesn’t seem to have done anything to assuage the craving.  I can’t stop thinking about these beauties… And no matter what … +more
