Oscar Inspiration

REESE

Happy Monday!  How were your weekends?  I spent the last couple of days partaking in some of my favorite single lady activities since Aaron is back in Australia for a few days for a live shot.   (If you live in Melbourne you might want to follow these tweets!) I kicked off the weekend friday night with girlfriends and margaritas, toasting to our newest contributors and of course to National Margarita Day.  Saturday was spent prepping for some upcoming shoots, so by Sunday I could hardly wait to settle down with magazines, a new bottle of nail polish and the Oscars!  I was really pleasantly surprised by everyone’s dress choices, too.  I didn’t see a single catastrophe and I loved how many of the leading ladies really stepped out of the box.  Who were your favorites?  I really loved Jen Garner’s custom Gucci gown.  It was simple and chic in the front with so much stylish detail in the back.  Just because you’re not stepping out on the red carpet any time soon, doesn’t mean you can’t take inspiration from Hollywood’s leading ladies.  Here are my three favorite looks– reinvented for real life!

  1. Great ideas, never thought about incorporating Oscar looks into everyday styles. Clever.

  2. I just love your pairing for an everyday outfit for Reese Witherspoon’s oscar dress!! I think you picked my three favorites! I did like Amy Adams & Jessica Chastain’s dress as well! =)
