While I love working with big, bold color and can be very inspired by brights and neon, my own personal style tends to be more neutral in palette.  One way to build depth, whether in your wardrobe or your home, when working with a neutral palette is to play with patterns.  I love these black and white stripes because they look so bold and so graphic, but are still very simple and effortless.  The contrast of the black and white really takes the very traditional pattern and makes it quite modern .
