Happy Cinco de Mayo Eve to all of you!  Sometimes I wish that I could pack a bag, drive to the airport, and fly to the destination of my choosing on a total whim.  Want to know where I’d go today?   Tulum, Mexico, that’s where!  I would spend the weekend soaking up the sun on white sandy beaches with Aaron and celebrating Cinco de Mayo with authentic mexican margaritas (probably not like these!) and hiking through the ancient mayan ruins.  What a dream!

Where To Stay: Jashita Hotel

The Jashita Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel run by an Italian family in Soliman Bay– a little off the beaten path of the bigger resorts so odds are you will have no problem snagging a quiet spot at the beach.  I think it will more than do for this last minute adventure
