Remember last Spring when you couldn’t turn the corner, walk into a store, or perhaps even open your closet without being met by some version of a Saint James sailor stripe tee?  Well the stripe has met its match, my friends.  Ever since Blake Lively graced the July cover of Glamour and was shot in this sheer Stella McCartney number, polka dots have been showing up everywhere.  The biggest shocker?  They are surprisingly chic this time around!

A month ago, I was in the Wolford store picking up a fresh pair of Mat Opaque tights and spotted the ‘Benny’ polka-dot tight.  It was love at first site!  I love the idea of these with a classic little black dress to make the overall look more fun and unexpected, but still glamorous and decidedly evening.
On Monday of this week, The Sartorialist posted the below image from London.  Dots on dots– they are everywhere!
