Paris in the Fall

Because of our shooting schedules the past few years at the ellen show, our vacations always fall in June and July.  As amazing as a summer getaway is, I have found myself wondering what an unexpected European adventure would be like this time of year: the leaves changing colors, the warm comfort foods enjoyed amidst cold weather, and of course cozy knit scarves and sweaters!  Last week I made a recipe from Julia Child’s Mastering The Art of French Cooking.  (I love everything I have made from this book, however it is usually so laborious and time consuming that it’s a rare occasion that it actually happens!)  While I was pouring three full cups of red wine onto the chicken for Coq Au Vin I couldn’t help but wonder what this meal would taste like if we were enjoying it in Paris on a random Wednesday night in November.  A girl can dream right?

These are some of my favorite dreamy images of Paris and of course what to wear should you find yourself in the City of Lights this fall…
