I so look forward to visits from my mother!  She is the most laid-back, fun person you will ever hope to meet.  She arrived from Austin Saturday morning, after thinking her flight was on Friday, and missing the actual flight she booked which was on Thursday…  Ooops!    We shopped on Saturday then celebrated a belated Mother’s Day dinner at Pace in Laurel Canyon that night.

On Sunday, I got to learn from the mother of all home cooking as we prepared six major appetizer’s for a friend’s 40th birthday.   We headed to the party in the afternoon and stayed for much of the evening.  After lounging by the pool, enjoying the company of friends, wine and yummy food we came home and totally crashed.

It was a quick trip, but always an enjoyable one
