all tied up

No longer confined to black tie affairs, the bow tie is making a daytime comeback!  This dapper piece of accoutrement can now be found on urban streets and runways just as often as galas and red carpets.  The color, size, texture, placement, and fabric options are all endlessly splendid, so take a chance, step outside the box, and try something new!

if the shoe fits

In a world of mass production and international outsourcing, nothing is more refreshing than handmade craftsmanship.  That is the first of many reasons I have fallen in love with Esquivel shoes!  Handmade in California, they will customize any pair of shoes to your feet and your taste using the highest quality materials and techniques.  He has worked with everyone from No Doubt to the Jonas Brothers and Drew Carey to Nicholas Cage in his 15 years of making shoes.  His … +more

It’s that in today’s full-exposure world, Goldstein plies her trade in an Oz-like, behind-the-scenes manner, backstage at Vera Wang or Carolina Herrera.… +more

spring preview

So I know it’s a little pre-mature… In Los Angeles, highs are nearing triple digits and fall breezes seem far away.  However, the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2010 runway show has me too excited not to share!

Just a little something to tickle your fancy until Spring:

new york adventures pt. 3: cheap and chic

Two of my favorite stops this weekend can be found just a block from each other.  Topshop, the british chain store, opened last Spring on Broadway down in Soho and the japanese store UNIQLO recently made its debut just a block away.  Both are great places to find interesting pieces that won’t break the bank!

The creme de la creme of cheap and chic:

Most Importantly, Now….

Do not leave the neighborhood before stopping for a quick bite, be … +more
