10 Ways to Wear a Slouchy Sweater

It’s barely February, but don’t think my mind hasn’t already wandered to spring and beyond. (I’m blaming it on the 85 degree weather we had here yesterday.) I’ve been loving slouchy, oversized sweaters this winter for their equal parts effortlessness and warmth, but they’re also a great way to transition to the warmer months as you can pair them with skirts and shorts.  So whether you’re living in Montreal or Monterrey, this piece is for you! (Also, you can just buy a regular sweater a couple sizes too big for the same effect.) Keep reading for 10 of my favorite slouchy sweater looks and feel free to peruse our shopping guide at the end.  Also, curious what you guys are loving for spring right now!  There’s usually something I have my eye on by now– two years ago it was a bucket bag, last year some new clogs–, but this year there’s not one thing I’m after. (Other than some super lightweight linen-y dresses for our second Austin summer!

  1. I’m not typically a slouchy sweater person, but after looking through these lovely photos I might be convinced to get one! So chic and comfy looking!

Yay! You’ll have to let us know if you try it!

  2. It was 50 degrees here yesterday and now it’s below freezing. I just want to wear a cozy sweater and cover up in some blankets. I do love a good slouchy sweater!

  3. Very cute! I love the idea of a slouchy sweater, it all feels so hygge. However I have a high bust-waist-hip ratio so whenever I try to put a slouchy sweater outfit together I end up looking more thick than sexy (insert crying laughing emoji). So sad. But I live vicariously through those who can pull this look off.

Yes, I totally get it. It’s definitely important to juxtapose those proportions. Slouchy sweater + leggings = a home run!
