Black on black. It’s the unofficial dress code of the New Yorker and it’s not hard to imagine why. Head-to-toe black might be the easiest way to look chic without trying. You can layer as many or as few pieces as you like and totally look like you know what you’re doing. While my grandmother might scoff at the lack of vibrancy, Neiman Marcus himself once said, “Women who wear all black live colorful lives.” That’s enough for me.
